Professional biography

Stephan Mayer has been a Member of the German Bundestag since 2002, representing the Altötting constituency. He is a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and the Subcommittee on Foreign Cultural and Educational Policy.

From 2018 to 2021, he served as Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Community. A qualified lawyer, he studied law at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
