Professional biography
Stefan Kaufmann is a hydrogen expert and former Innovation Commissioner for Green Hydrogen at Germany’s Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
From 2020 to 2022, he coordinated research, innovation and transfer activities connected with Germany’s National Hydrogen Strategy. A lawyer by training, he was a Member of the German Bundestag from 2009 to 2021 with a focus on education, research and technology policy.
