Professional biography

Oliver Wils heads the Berghof Foundation’s MENA Peace Support Department and co-directs its Political Dialogue Support Programme in Yemen. From 2004 to 2011, he served as Executive Director of the Berghof Foundation for Peace Support, where he initiated dialogue, mediation and negotiation-support projects.

Before joining Berghof in 2003, he worked as a development-cooperation consultant. The political scientist specialises in the Middle East and holds a doctorate from Freie Universität Berlin on state-society relations in Jordan.
