Oliver Linz is Director of Policy Planning at the German Federal Foreign Office.

He previously served as a senior security and defence policy adviser in the CDU/CSU Parliamentary Group and held positions in the Federal Ministry of Defence, the Federal Chancellery and the Defence Minister’s office. He studied history and political science and holds a doctorate in ancient history.
