Professional biography

Helmut Reichelt is Co-Founder, Deputy CEO and Director Education Affairs at the German Emirati Institute Technologies 4.0, a role he has held since 2022. He connects UAE universities and government entities with German industry to create pathways from education and practical training to employment for young Emirati talent.

He has extensive experience in defence, international business development and German–Emirati cooperation. At Diehl Defence, he held technical, management and international business development roles. He began working on Middle East business development in 2002 and led the company’s Abu Dhabi representative office from 2008 to 2022. Earlier international assignments took him to France and the United States.

He has also contributed to education and industry networks in the UAE, including service on the board of the German International School Abu Dhabi from 2019 to 2021 and the Dubai Airshow Advisory Board in 2021.
