Professional biography
Dr. Dorothea Schütz currently serves as Deputy Director-General at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. In her position, she is responsible for German trade relations with North Africa and the Middle East, German trade fair policy and development policy.
Throughout her career, Dr. Schütz has held senior positions at the Federal Chancellery, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and the OECD. She holds a PhD in economics and brings more than three decades of experience in shaping economic and international policy at the national and international levels.
