Daniel Privitera is the founder and Executive Director of the Berlin-based KIRA Center, an independent think tank working on AI safety, competitiveness and sovereignty.

He served as Lead Writer of the 2025 International AI Safety Report and contributed to the Safety and Security chapter of the EU General-Purpose AI Code of Practice. His work focuses on translating AI risk research into practical public policy.
