Christian Hanelt is a senior expert on Europe, the EU neighbourhood and the Middle East at the Bertelsmann Stiftung.
His work focuses on EU relations with the Gulf and the wider Middle East, regional security and political and economic development. He has long managed high-level dialogue formats including the Kronberg Middle East Talks and previously worked as a journalist.
